Vita di padre Pio
Quando, più di dieci anni fa, l’editore mi chiese un libro su Padre Pio, mi accorsi con sgomento che sul cappuccino c’erano già centinaia di titoli e migliaia di articoli. Lessi tutto quel che che riuscii a trovare e schedai centinaia di opere. Mi avvidi che l’unica cosa che mancava, nel panorama, era un compendio, una «vita» di Padre Pio completa e, soprattutto, senza peli sulla lingua. Già, perché molte delle opere, scitte da religiosi o da devoti, erano restie su quel che riguardava certi aspetti incresciosi degli impeachment che quel vecchio frate aveva subito da parte del Vaticano (e non solo). Così, stesi una biografia in cui c’era tutto-ma-proprio-tutto, sufficientemente compact perché non risultasse barbosa e inutilmente infiorettata. Ne è uscito l’unico miracolo personale che fino ad oggi Padre Pio mi abbia fatto: quattordici o quindici edizioni, credo, per un libro che continua a vendere perché sempre attuale.

Diciamo subito, a scanso di equivoci, che lo stile è quello della scuola di Indro Montanelli. Una scuola di giornalismo abituata a non essere asservita a padroni di nessun tipo salvo che alla propria onestà intellettuale.
Uno stile schietto, sobrio, disincantato.
Nulla a che vedere con l’analisi storica e politica di altri ambienti intellettuali (o falsamente intellettuali).
E’ una scelta che, a fine libro, si condivide, in modo pacato e privo di pregiudizi.
Padre Pio è visto a livello biografico, con l’accento sulle molte cose fatte e sulla santità dell’uomo Padre Pio.
Vengono riportati fatti, notizie, date. La persecuzione durata oltre mezzo secolo subita da parte della Chiesa di Roma. La riscossa per voce del Popolo e la beatificazione.
L’immagine di Padre Pio che ne emerge è quella che il Santo di Pietrelcina avrebbe approvato: ovvero l’impegno contro miseria, ignoranza e superstizione. Lo stesso impegno dell’Età dei Lumi, voluto per una Fede sincera, lontana anni luce dalla magìa di certi maghi e santoni odierni (presenti anche su Facebook). La Fede che libera l’uomo dalle catene della schiavitù terrena ma anche dalla superstizione, inutile e dannosa per tutto il genere umano, senza distinzione di razza, religione, etnìa e cultura.
Padre Pio, un Santo del xxi secolo.
Tutto il contrario della retorica e dell’ignoranza.
Alla faccia di coloro che lo ritengono un Santo “incolto” (ma dove? Basta dare un’occhiata ai libri esposti nella sua cella, a San Giovanni Rotondo, per capire che tipo d’uomo era: intelletto aperto, vivo e vegeto, con conoscenze di storia, filosofia, le lingue. Già, le lingue straniere, quelle che fanno accapponare la pelle quando sentiamo blaterare certi “potenti” e meno potenti, politici e non, piegati, loro sì, sulla loro totale miopìa verso il mondo e tesi solo verso il loro tornaconto personale, residuati di un tempo e di un impero del nulla in totale sfacelo)…

We immediately say, to shift away of misunderstandings, that the style is that of the school of Indro Montanelli. A school of journalism gotten used not to have enslaved to masters of any type except that to his own intellectual honesty.
A sincere style, sober, disenchanted.
Nothing to do with the historical analysis and politics of other intellectual environments (or falsely intellectual).
And’ a choice that, to end book, is shared, in peaceful and deprived way of prejudices.
Padre Pio is seen to biographical level, with the accent on the a lot of done things and on the holiness of the man Pious Father.
Facts are brought, news, gives. The persecution lasted over half century suffered from the Church in Rome. Receives her for voice of the People and the beatification.
The image of Pious Father that emerges is that of it that the Saint of Pietrelcina would have approved: or the appointment against poverty, ignorance and superstition. The same appointment of the aAe of the Lights, wanted for a sincere Faith, distant years light from the magic of certain magicians and today’s ‘santoni’ (present also on Facebook). The Faith that frees the man from the chains of the terrestrial slavery but also from the superstition, useless and harmful for the whole human kind, without distinction of race, religion, etnic and culture.

All the contrary of the rhetoric and of the ignorance.
To the face of those people that they hold him a Saint “uncultivated” (but where? All it takes is giving a glance to the books exposed in his cell, to St. Giovanni Rotondo, to understand that type of man was: open intellect, lives and flourishing, with knowledges of history, philosophy, the languages. Already, the foreign languages, those that make ‘shrink the skin’ when we feel to chatter certain “powerful” and less powerful persons, political and not folded up, them yes, on the their total miopy toward the world and got up only toward their personal profit, residual of once and of an empire of the nothing in total decay)…

Tout de suite nous disons, à j’écarte d’équivoques, que le style est ce de l’école d’Indro Montanelli. Une école de journalisme habituée à ne pas être asservie à patrons d’aucun type sauf qui à la propre honnêteté intellectuelle.
Un style sincère, sobre, désenchanté.
Rien à que voir avec l’analyse historique et politique d’autres milieux intellectuels, ou faussement intellectuels.
Et’ un choix que, au livre fin, on partage, de manière calme et dépourvu de préjugés.
Père Pio est vu au niveau biographique, avec l’accent sur les beaucoup de choses faites et sur la sainteté de l’homme Père Pio.
Faits sont reportés, nouvelles donnent. La persécution durée au-delà demi siècle subi de la part de l’Église de Rome. Le rescousse pour voix du Peuple et la béatification.
L’image de Père Pio qui émerge en est celle-là qui il aurait approuvé: c’est-à-dire l’engagement contre misère, ignorance et superstition. Le même engagement de l’Age des Lumières, voulu pour une Foi sincère, lointains ans lumière du magique de certains prestidigitateurs et santons d’aujourd’hui, présents aussi sur Facebook. La Foi qui libère l’homme des chaînes de l’esclavage terrestre mais aussi de la superstition, inutile et nuisible pour tout le genre humain, sans distinction de race, religion, etnìe et culture.

À la figure de ceux qui le croient un Saint “inculte”, mais où? Il suffit de jeter un coup d’oeil aux livres exposés dans sa cellule, à Saint Giovanni Rotondo, pour comprendre que type d’homme était: intelligence ouverte vit et vigoureux, avec des connaissances d’histoire, philosophie, les langues. Mais oui, les langues étrangères, celles qui font pleurer la peau quand nous entendons jacasser certain “puissants” et puissants moins, politiques et pas plié, eux oui, sur leur miopìe total vers le monde et plongè seulement vers leur profit personnel, restants d’un temps et d’un empire du rien en désagrégation totale,…
